Flagged
The thing I’m looking forwards to in WAR isn’t going to be the PvE, but how it’s almost going to force us into PvP. The areas, apparently, as they get higher tier, become harder and harder to bypass without getting into a fight. It’s in cases like these that I hope there’s some kind of alert or warning that you’re about to step into a bloodbath (something other than seeing said tournament of death ahead of you). I could see many a situation where a player (such as our good Knight of the Blazing Starr here) innocently waltzes into a PvP zone, gets flagged, then… well it’s just not pretty. It is good though, that the low tier areas have fewer of these zones, and indeed you could bypass the whole area while avoiding the fighting. It certainly lets new players acclimatise to the game, rather than leave the game after a bad experience like our poor knight just had.
In other news, over the weekend I got interviewed by the great folks over at WAR-Insider! Quite an exciting experience, and I’m honoured they were interested enough to talk to me.

Great comic as usual Shannon. I too wonder just how hardcore the pvp vs pve breakdown will be once you get to the tier 4 zones where the city capture happens. Having only played CoH and WoW I’m not sure what to expect from a game that is so heavy in PvP once you make it to the endgame. I’m certainly excited to find out!
BTW, congrats on the interview! You got a good thing going here and it’s no surprise that folks want to interview you. If you’re interested I wouldn’t mind myself a quick interview with ya for my Warhamma podcast

as a long time Daoc player i can tell you the pvp will be fun , rather than always worrying if your gonna get ganked like in WoW pvp servers the rvr as its called gives you the option to either do some pve when your in the mood for a bit of slow pace grinding or farming , but when ya wanna bash some heads you head out into rvr (this is extremly fun as a guild) and capture a keep or just slap another guild or solo players around a bit
, unlike Wow the pvp has real purpose and you’ll find yourself out in the zones for hours on end. im hoping there using a similar system to Daoc regarding realm ranks which gave you ability access via points for obtianing kills in pvp/rvr. the systems refered to as ‘renownd’ in warhammer.

Quick note, my photoshop no longer works with my tablet pc, so I’ve been saving up for a graphics tablet. The comic’ll be back up as soon as I get that to work.
