The thing I’m looking forwards to in WAR isn’t going to be the PvE, but how it’s almost going to force us into PvP. The areas, apparently, as they get higher tier, become harder and harder to bypass without getting into a fight. It’s in cases like these that I hope there’s some kind of alert or warning that you’re about to step into a bloodbath (something other than seeing said tournament of death ahead of you). I could see many a situation where a player (such as our good Knight of the Blazing Starr here) innocently waltzes into a PvP zone, gets flagged, then… well it’s just not pretty. It is good though, that the low tier areas have fewer of these zones, and indeed you could bypass the whole area while avoiding the fighting. It certainly lets new players acclimatise to the game, rather than leave the game after a bad experience like our poor knight just had.

In other news, over the weekend I got interviewed by the great folks over at WAR-Insider! Quite an exciting experience, and I’m honoured they were interested enough to talk to me.
